Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul tickets: 120,000 fans sign up for pre-sale despite criticism | HO

Paul will continue his boxing career against a legend of the sport this July, and tickets for the event will not come cheap.

It has been confirmed that legendary boxer Mike Tyson will return to the ring to take on internet superstar turned boxer Jake Paul at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas this summer.

Paul has been working hard to build a serious reputation in boxing, bursting onto the scene with a number of hard-hitting knockouts. Along the way, he has called out a number of top fighters, many of which have shunned his public offers.

But there is no doubting Paul’s commercial appeal, and he has now secured a bout with a legend of the sport in Tyson, who believes he is still up to the challenge at 58 years of age. Tyson has a record of 50-6 during his career with 44 knockouts, while 27-year-old Paul has a 9-1 record with six knockouts.

“[Paul has] grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a ‘kid’ can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT,” Tyson said in a statement upon announcing the fight.

“It’s a full-circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch, as I started him on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones, and now I plan to finish him.”

The event, which will take place at the home of the Dallas Cowboys on July 20, will be streamed live on Netflix, becoming the first bout to be shown on the platform.

tickets to see the fight in person will not come cheap, with prices having already been confirmed, and the most expensive are more than $5,000.
