Mike Tyson’s health sparks concern ahead of Jake Paul fight following video resurfacing

A video from 2022 of famous boxing champ Mike Tyson walking with a cane has resurfaced on social media, causing worry among fans.

This comes just as his upcoming fight against YouTube star Jake Paul was officially announced, with the fight to be streamed live on Netflix.

The match is set to happen at the ATandT Stadium in Texas on July 20. The 57-year-old boxing legend will face off against Paul, who is much younger and fitter, having fought multiple times in the past few years.

“He’s grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a ‘kid’ can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT,” Tyson said about his future opponent, who is 30 years younger than him.

Tyson also said: “It’s a full circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch; as I started him on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones and now I plan to finish him.”

Since then, Paul has had a successful boxing career, winning nine out of ten fights, six by knockout.

However, there are concerns for the match in July as Tyson had previously been seen using a cane to move around. He even used a wheelchair, saying he had back problems.

Spectators online have expressed their worries. “Mike doesn’t stand a chance, he won’t see round 2,” one fan commented on social media.

The boxing match will go ahead after Paul won against Ryan Bourland. “It’s crazy to think that in my second pro fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson’s undercard,” Paul said.

“Now, less than four years later, I’m stepping up to face Tyson myself to see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons.”
