(Video) Spiderman-inspired MMA Guy Loses Bout, Gets Exposed for Fraudulent Record | HO

A peculiar moment stole the spotlight at the recent Absolute Championship Akhmat (ACA) 175 event in Moscow, Russia on May 17th. Welterweight Jair Jesuino entered the cage channeling his inner Spiderman, impressively hanging from the cage wall in a picture-perfect Spidey pose. However, Jesuino’s superhero antics didn’t translate to success in the actual bout.

The 26-year-old Brazilian took on Adlan Bataev in a welterweight bout on the main card. While the match started intensely, Bataev quickly took control, dominating Jesuino and scoring a knockout victory in the first round.

The loss snapped Jesuino’s three-win streak, dropping his professional MMA record to 17 wins and 3 losses. An impressive record on paper, but one that has recently come under scrutiny.

Upon closer examination of Jesuino’s past bouts listed on the combat sports database Tapology, a startling 9 out of his 17 victories have been flagged as potentially illegitimate. Concerningly, his last three wins prior to joining ACA are among those called into question.

While padding records is unfortunately not uncommon in MMA due to the vast landscape of regional shows worldwide, it often becomes a major controversy when fighters with questionable pasts try to make the jump to elite promotions like the UFC.

Jesuino’s Spiderman-inspired antics made him an instant viral hit, but his supposedly web of lies regarding his professional record has fighters and fans feeling misled. For an athlete looking to climb the ranks, getting exposed for a fraudulent record is a credibility hit that not even Peter Parker could bounce back from.
