Cathy Michelle White VIRGINIA BEACH – Cathy Michelle White “Lil Cathy,” 29, passed away Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011 in Harlem, N.Y. Cathy, known by her friends as “Koreana hun” and “Korie,” was born in Ft. Polk, La., on July 3, 1982, and was a 2000 graduate from Maury High School in Norfolk, and 2004 graduate from Howard University in Washington, D.C.

She worked as an industry publicist and health and fitness expert. Cathy was predeceased by her mother, Yi, Kun Sun; and grandparents, Mary and Alvin White Sr. She is survived by her father, Eric Jerome White Sr.; stepmother, Cheryl D. White; grandmother, Clarius Dozier; brothers, Darius Wilson (Norfolk), and Eric J. White Jr. (Virginia Beach); sisters, Darlene White (Los Angeles), and Dana Wilson (Virginia Beach); and a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Metropolitan Funeral Service, Granby Street Chapel. Minister Kathy Hawkins will officiate. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends will assemble at 1769 Gravenhurst Drive, Virginia Beach, one hour prior to service.
