On Saturday, the Phoenix Mercury notched a closely-contested victory over the Atlanta Dream with a 88-85 final score.
With less than a minute remaining in the game, Phoenix veteran Diana Taurasi absolutely decked Dream forward Cheyenne Parker-Tyus after a made basket.
A clip of the “dirty” foul is making the rounds on social media.
“Was this intentional by Diana Taurasi or was it nothing at all?” WNBA Got Game wrote on X.
WNBA fans are convinced this hit was “100% intentional,” and some are calling for punishment against Taurasi.
“The definition of intentional and grounds for ejection. @WNBA needs to be under investigation as to why she keeps getting away with this. Ball was already going through the net,” one wrote.
