Angel Reese of LSU on the court.

The Caitlin Clark vs. Angel Reese rivalry started back in 2023 when they battled for the NCAA crown in the Women’s College Basketball National Championship.

Reese and the LSU Tigers got the last laugh as they defeated Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes 102-85. Reese recorded 15 points and 10 rebounds to help guide her team to the win. Clark recorded 30 points and eight assists in the loss.

The real story that came out of this game was Reese’s celebration afterwards, showing her ring finger to Clark and doing John Cena’s “you can’t see me” hand gesture.

In the new docuseries “Full Court Press,” Clark confessed her true frustration with Reese’s celebration.

“That’s the only thing people wanted to talk about when we just went on this magical run and united so many people, and that, like, was frustrating to me,” Clark said.

Episodes 1 and 2 of the new docuseries produced by Peyton Manning can be seen now on ESPN+.

Clark was selected first overall in the 2024 WNBA draft by the Indiana Fever and Reese was selected seventh overall by the Chicago Sky. The rivalry will continue as the two will see each other for the first time in the WNBA on June 1st.
