Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark received a message from this WNBA legend
The following statement from Gatorade (h/t Bleacher Report) detailed the new advertisement:
“As part of the revival of its iconic tagline (and yes, the Gatorade-colored sweat that infiltrated pop-culture in the ’90s and early 2000s will also make its comeback) the brand is looking to rally athletes everywhere to remind them it’s not about hype, clout, clicks or likes—it’s the inner drive that fuels greatness. The launch comes on the heels of new data that indicates athletes are staying out of sport due to increase in pressure from social media, among other factors.”
As previously mentioned, WNBA star Caitlin Clark was prominently featured in the advertisement, and shared a post to her Instagram page that included a close-up picture and the caption, “Working for IT every day.”
Clark’s joint post with Gatorade has accumulated over 180,000 likes and 1,200 comments in the last nine hours. These comments included a message from WNBA legend Lisa Leslie:

Leslie played 12 seasons in the WNBA, all with the Los Angeles Sparks, making eight All-Star appearances, winning three MVP awards, and two championships.
