Taylor Swift makes a surprise entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe due to an interesting fanart that depicts her as an X-Men character. Given that the anticipated MCU movie, Deadpool 3 is making rounds to bring several characters to the franchise, her role would not be far-stretched.

Following the success of the initial Deadpool films, Ryan Reynolds returns as the eponymous character alongside Hugh Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine. Their on-screen reunion is highly anticipated by fans, and the forthcoming movie is garnering even more interest due to speculation about potential character cameos. One such cameo might include a past favorite.

The renowned digital artist @Bosslogic recently posted an artwork depicting Taylor Swift as the music icon in the role of the superheroine Dazzler. Speculation is rife that she may make a cameo in the forthcoming Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

For those unfamiliar, Dazzler is a superheroine who debuted in Uncanny X-Men #130 (February 1980). Her power is to transform sound vibrations into various forms of light and energy beams. Considering her significant impact on the music industry, her introduction into the MCU would likely benefit both Marvel and the singer immensely.

However, her addition to the cameo list started going around due to several instances that hinted at her involvement in the movie.

In September, the actor from The Proposal shared the film’s announcement teaser. Fans noticed a resemblance between the house in the teaser and the one used in Taylor Swift’s All Too Well: The Short Film. The actor dismissed these theories but expressed his interest in having Swift join the movie if she is willing.

Speculation increased when Swift was seen at the Kansas City Chiefs versus New York Jets game alongside Deadpool 3 cast members, including Reynolds and Jackman. Director Shawn Levy’s remarks to EW also heightened fan curiosity.

“The rumors of actors, singers, sports stars who are all apparently in Deadpool 3 are fabulous… I’ll simply say that some of those rumors are true, and some of them aren’t.”

As the cameo rumors continue to swirl around, production will soon be resumed as it faces delays due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. As for the cast, Morena Baccarin, Karan Soni, and Leslie Uggams will reprise their characters, Wade Wilson’s wife role, Vanessa, Dopinder, and Blind Al respectively. Additionally, Emma Corrin is confirmed to play the lead antagonist meanwhile Matthew Macfadyen has joined for an undisclosed role.

Deadpool 3 is scheduled to hit theatres on July 26, 2024.
