Although the list comprises names from the worlds of entertainment, sports, and politics, it was startling to see Henry Cavill not even making it to the Top 10. The closest to Jeremy Clarkson is the Spider-Man fame Tom Holland at second.

Surprisingly, Clarkson has retained his position as the UK’s Sexiest Man even after being in the headlines for his numerous controversial comments.

In a yearly survey by the online dating site IllicitEncounters, 2000 female members voted for the UK’s Sexiest Man. The Morning reports that Jeremy Clarkson triumphed, followed by Tom Holland and Prince William.

England Football team manager Gareth Southgate secured fourth place, just ahead of Irish actor Cillian Murphy, known for his piercing blue eyes and role in Oppenheimer. Idris Elba, a regular on the list, was in sixth place.

British comedian Romesh Ranganathan was seventh. TV personality Sam Thompson, athlete Russ Cook, and former X Factor host Dermot O’Leary rounded out the Top 10.

Despite some fans’ surprise at Jeremy Clarkson topping the list again, numerous netizens defended him. Metro quoted fans saying that while he might not fit the traditional “sexy” mold, his confidence and wit are appealing.

Despite being a part of renowned TV shows like Top Gear, The Grand Tour, and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, Jeremy Clarkson has found his name in some notable controversies. In July 2022 he joked on X (then Twitter) that global warming had ended after days of hot weather. As per the Independent, he wrote:

Thankfully, the global warming is now over but tragically, its brief visit took the life of my big pig. RIP pig.

Despite giving their condolences for his pig, the fans were not pleased with Clarkson’s joke, given the serious effects of global warming on society. The netizens reminded the host that global warming is a serious ongoing issue and not something to joke about.

Jeremy Clarkson took to an interview with The Guardian earlier in April to address the controversial comments he made on global warming. The Clarkson’s Farm presenter admitted that the personality shown in his shows is different from his real-life persona.

Everyone assumes the character they see on motoring shows is me, but it’s exaggerated. To think that I was like I was on Top Gear is the same as thinking that Anthony Hopkins is a cannibal. That was part of the caricature. It was a joke.

Recently on May 3rd and 10th of this year, the two parts of the hit Amazon Prime documentary series Clarkson’s Farm’s Season 3 were released. It is confirmed that the show will also come back for a fourth season.
