After Chennedy Carter knocked down Caitlin Clark, countless people said the Indiana Fever need to sign an enforcer to their roster. Well, there’s a five-time All-Star willing to fill that role.

In an interview with TMZ, Angel McCoughtry talked about Clark’s situation as well as the current landscape of the WNBA.

McCoughtry made it abundantly clear that she’s willing to be an enforcer for the Fever.

“Take care of your players. All of y’all. I don’t care who it is,” McCoughtry told TMZ. “If somebody is dragging your player down by the neck, I’m in your face. ‘What the hell are you doing?’ Hey, we can go have lunch later, but right now we’re competing. Don’t grab my player like that.”

McCoughtry wouldn’t just be on the hardwood to get physical. She’ll check off other boxes as well.

“Someone sign me! I’ll make sure, I’m a vet and I’ll make sure I defend and do what I gotta do.”

McCoughtry last played in the WNBA in 2022. She has averaged 18.6 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in her career.

We’re not sure if the Fever would be willing to take a chance on McCoughtry. Make no mistake though, they need to add some toughness to their squad.
