Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever suffered their fifth loss of the season, in their fifth game. Clark and the Fever haven’t been able to connect the dots to claw out a victory. They started the season getting blown out by the New York Liberty and Connecticut Sun, but they have started to inch closer.
Despite their improvements, there’s still immense struggle within the locker room. Fans are livid with one major issue in Indiana. They believe all of the team’s problems find a road back to head coach Christie Sides.
Sides has received major security for the past few weeks, as the Fever has gained more attention with Clark’s name.

One specific decision by Sides had fans livid in their matchup against the Seattle Storm on Wednesday. Sides decided to bench both Clark and Aliyah Boston in crunch time. These are two of the Fever’s most talented players, but Sides viewed another lineup as more successful.
The Fever wound up losing the game 85-83 on the road.
WNBA fans went straight toward one decision on Sides. They believe it’s time for her to leave the team and question her basketball knowledge.
I really tried to defend Christie Sides for the first couple games but I’m soooo confused by everything she’s doing😅 Esp the substitutions and Clark at the 2 to start games? Huh?

So Christie Sides subs out Clark at 5:49 left with the score tied.
By the time Caitlin came back in the Fever were down 7.
Make it make sense.
